The following documents relate to the review of the list of priority terrestrial habitats for the UK Biodiversity Partnership, which was initiated in May 2005.
They include a CONSULTATION DOCUMENT. This presents all the submissions received, together with a preliminary analysis and comments for consultation, as complied by JNCC Habitats Advice Team. The purpose of this paper is to:
- 1. Present the submissions and preliminary analysis against the review criteria and subsequent comments to all habitat consultees;
- 2. Seek comments on the proposals from specialists involved in the terrestrial and freshwater species review and other members of the PSHRWG.
There are other documents below this available for download. These are subdivided by habitats and represent any supplementary information received with the submissions. At the bottom of the page, the original guidance for the Review of Terrestrial and Freshwater Habitats is available. This includes an appendix with the conclusions and recommendations from the 1999-2001 review of gaps in the priority habitats series.
Comments on the CONSULTATION DOCUMENT should be made to JNCC Habitats Advice Team by 17 April 2006 (email: ed.mountford@jncc.gov.uk). Responses will be collated for consideration by the Priority Species and Habitats Review Working Group on behalf of BRIG who will then make recommendations to the UK Biodiversity Standing Committee.
